💻 Technical Requirements

To ensure students have a successful learning experience at Academere, families are asked to meet the following technical requirements. These tools help support instruction, communication, and academic progress in both on-campus and online learning environments.


🖥️ Required Devices

Students should have access to one dedicated learning device, such as:

  • Desktop computer

  • Laptop (Windows, macOS, or Chromebook)

  • Tablet (for limited use, depending on grade level)

📌 Smartphones are not recommended as a primary learning device.


🌐 Internet Access

  • Reliable high-speed internet connection

  • Minimum recommended speed: 10 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload

  • Ability to stream video, access online platforms, and submit assignments


🧠 Software & Applications

Students may be required to use:

  • Web browser (Google Chrome recommended)

  • Word processing software (Google Docs or Microsoft Word)

  • Email access for school communication

  • Learning management system (as assigned by Academere)

All required platforms will be shared with families after enrollment.


🎧 Audio & Video Tools

  • Webcam (built-in or external)

  • Microphone (built-in or headset)

  • Headphones or earbuds (recommended for focus)


🔐 Security & Safety

To maintain a safe digital environment:

  • Devices should have updated antivirus software

  • Operating systems and browsers must be kept up to date

  • Parents are encouraged to monitor student device use at home


👨‍👩‍👧 Parent/Guardian Support

For younger students, especially Academere Kids, parent or guardian assistance may be needed for:

  • Logging in to learning platforms

  • Managing assignments

  • Technical troubleshooting
